Accessibility & language access
ASCS Agency is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology. Accessibility is ongoing work, and we welcome your feedback.
Conformance target
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. This is a goal we design and test toward — a target and an ongoing process, not a legal certification.
How we support accessibility
- Keyboard navigation
- All interactive elements are reachable and operable with a keyboard, and a “Skip to main content” link lets you bypass the navigation.
- Screen-reader support
- Pages use semantic headings, landmark regions, descriptive link text, and labels so screen readers can announce content and controls.
- Visible focus states
- A clear, high-contrast focus indicator shows which element is selected when you navigate by keyboard.
- Color contrast
- Text and meaningful interface elements are designed to meet or exceed WCAG AA contrast ratios.
- Scalable text
- Text uses relative units and stays readable when you zoom or increase your browser’s font size.
- Reduced motion
- We honor your system “reduce motion” setting and minimize non-essential animation and transitions.
- Accessible forms & errors
- Form fields have associated labels and help text; errors are announced, summarized, and linked so they are easy to find and fix.
- Mobile accessibility
- Layouts reflow for small screens, and the mobile menu is an accessible control with a clear expanded/collapsed state.
Language access
- English is the default language.
- Spanish is available as an alternate language, selectable from every page.
- Because the service is planned for Canada, French-language support (including Canadian French) is a planned future item, pending professional review. It is not yet available.
- The site is structured so additional languages can be added over time.
Spanish content is provided to improve access and is pending professional/native review before public launch. If anything is unclear, you may contact us in English or Spanish.
Request accessibility or language help
If you need any information on this site in a different format, or assistance in English or Spanish, please contact us through the contact page. Tell us the page and what you need, and we will work with you to provide the information. (Please do not include any patient or health information.)
Known limitations
- Spanish translations are pending professional/native review.
- The site has not yet had an independent third-party accessibility audit.
- Some improvements are still in progress as we work toward our WCAG 2.2 AA target.
Give feedback
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please tell us through the contact page and we will work to address it. Your feedback helps us improve.
