  • Cease and desist notices requiring immediate removal of unauthorized marks

  • Legal action for trademark infringement and consumer deception
  • Public notice in the registry regarding misuse or fraudulent claims

Required Disclaimers

When displaying the ASCS certification badge, organizations must include the following disclaimer in proximity to the badge or on the same page:

"ASCS certification is issued by the American Senior Care Standards Agency, a private, independent certification organization. This certification does not represent government endorsement, regulatory approval, or licensing status. Certification indicates voluntary compliance with ASCS standards and is not a guarantee of care quality or outcomes."

This disclaimer may be abbreviated on space-constrained materials (e.g., business cards) provided the full disclaimer appears on the organization's website.
